Based in the town of Bedale between the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales,
(WJPS) is a software development company started in 2004 by Managing Director James Proctor. WJPS began life working with the NHS to provide bespoke software solutions for Quality Assurance departments. At the same time as starting up his business, James was also sitting as a Parish Councillor on a Parish Council in North Yorkshire. During this time, he was often asked about finding a website or CMS (Content Management System) for the Parish Councils. At the time, WJPS was delivering a clear to use and secure website system used by many of our NHS clients to create a web presence and document management system. James realised he would be able to modify this system to create the Web Communication System that became a perfect fit for Parish Council use.
The WJPS team then set about making the required modifications to ensure that clerks and council members would be able to effectively use the system to continue creating content and managing the site no matter without requiring a high technical level of computer skill. WCS has been built from scratch in-house and as such we are able to offer bespoke solutions for council’s needs. We were able to ensure that security and data protection were built in from the beginning and continue to update the software regularly to minimise security risks.
Our team offers support that is both personal and professional due to their unique position of having both generated the software and worked with it to create our own websites. This insight allows us to offer quicker solutions and a greater understanding of issues than many ‘off the shelf’ website companies can. We were able to ensure that security and data protection were built in from the beginning and continue to update the software regularly to minimise security risks. To maintain a high quality of customer service and satisfaction we are ISO:9001 registered. We are also ISO: 27001 registered to maintain out dedication to information management and data security. We are audited annually to ensure we meet the quality standards and have held certification for both since 2016.
