Using remote technology for Council meetings

As we are all aware the last week has seen a number of different strategies to develop and enhance social distance but as a Parish or Town Council, you may need to keep conversations going and meetings taking place to ensure you are able to adapt in the environment we are currently in. This allows you to communicate back needs to your local authority and to step up to the requirements of your local community.

At WJP Software Ltd, we use remote technology in our everyday life, so we thought we offer our opinion on which systems we use to keep communication going.

Our main system is Webex, which allows us to video or cloud call meaning we can conference call into meetings. We, also, use this for our daily team meetings when everyone is in different locations. This is ideal for Council meetings as you can all be sitting at home and call into a meeting.

The other main system we use is Go to Meetings, as like Webex, this allows us to hold video, audio or web meetings. Therefore, again, this offers Councils the opportunity to hold their meetings online.

These are only two systems out there but there are a host of different remote communication methods which can keep the conversations going through the most difficult times. If you need support or want to find out more about the systems WJP Software uses, please do not hesitate to contact us.
